Frida’s Feasts Cooking Class with Chef Debbie
Did you know that the famous painter Frida Kahlo had a passion for cooking and entertaining? Every occasion was cause for an elaborate celebration!
In 1994, Guadalupe Rivera, Frida’s step daughter, compiled a book of her favorite recipes titled Frida’s Fiestas. Please join us to recreate several of those recipes, including Chiles en Nogada, poblano chiles stuffed with ground pork, peaches, plantains and spices; tri-colored Mexican flag rice; corn pudding with chiles in cream; and Champurrado, a warm chocolate drink thickened with masa. Bring your apron and appetite!
