Facility Description and Use
Amerind’s Fulton Seminar House was the original Fulton family Spanish Colonial Revival style home designed by Merritt Starkweather and built circa 1930. William Shirley Fulton and Rose Hayden Fulton occupied their home while ranching and raising quarter horses and establishing the Amerind Foundation, until their deaths in 1964 and 1968, respectively. All the original architectural and historic features have been carefully preserved to create an elegant, charming setting that complements Amerind’s world class museum.
The Fulton Seminar House is a magical, private setting perfect for your next special event, workshop, retreat, family reunion, wedding, weekend getaway, board meeting, professional meeting, or seminar. Our hacienda style home will accommodate 12 guests in double occupancy rooms with private baths, each opening onto the courtyard. An additional two rooms in our annex will accommodate up to four more guests with a shared bath. Groups will have exclusive use of the living room with its cathedral ceiling, massive fireplace, a small conference room, butler’s kitchen, and expansive views of the Arizona-Sonora borderlands.
Amerind’s exquisite library is also available for private meetings and research. There are three additional lodging facilities on our historic property available to scholars, researchers, and artists-in-residence.
