13th Annual Texas Canyon Trail Run/Walk (10K – 5K)

Come out and race competitively or bring your friends and family to run or walk the scenic 5k or 10k courses through the spectacular Texas Canyon Nature Preserve.

Once you have completed the race, stay for the award ceremony. In addition to medals, overall winners of the 5K & 10K will receive a beautiful piece of Native American art. Cheer on all the winners from the different age categories. After the ceremony, grab a bite from La Unica or CJ’s Navajo Frybread Co. food trucks then explore the Museum and Galleries, free entry is included with your registration.  It is a fun day at the Amerind. All are welcome to come out and cheer on the runners! Thank you to Michael Chiago, Sr. (Tohono O’odham) for this year’s medal art.

Participation in the event enables Amerind to further its mission of fostering and promoting knowledge and understanding of the Native Peoples of the Americas through research, education, conservation, and community engagement.

*Please note that our hiking trails will be closed Friday, March 20th through Monday, March 23rd in preparation for and clean up after the Trail Run.

The trails will reopen on Tuesday, March 24th at 8:30 am, thank you for your understanding.
