Paint Arizona Day happening at Amerind
Join some of the Sonoran Plein Air painters at Amerind for Paint Arizona Day on Saturday, April 5th from 8:30 am – 4 pm. You are welcome to come out and paint or just observe. Please remember to check in with the museums front desk if going out beyond our picnic or yucca Park area as you will need to fill out a liability/safety waiver and pay admission if heading out on the Texas Canyon Hiking Trails.
It will be a busy day at Amerind, we are also holding an exhibit celebration for artist America Meredith from 11- 12 who will be giving a free talk in our Art Gallery. All are welcome.
Paint Arizona Day is a unique celebration of art, nature, and community held annually in Arizona. The event encourages artists of all levels to embrace the beauty of the state by painting outdoors (plein air). Participants can choose to paint independently in their backyards or join official painting locations guided by master artists. These designated locations showcase the diverse landscapes of Arizona, from the majestic mountains to the vibrant deserts.
Beyond individual artistic expression, Paint Arizona Day fosters a strong sense of community. Artists connect through online platforms and participate in a culminating juried gallery show, where their work is exhibited and celebrated. This event not only promotes the art of plein air painting and highlights the natural wonders of Arizona but also strengthens the artistic community within the state.
Come out and Paint Arizona at Amerind!
