This unique flat basket was handwoven by the Seri Indians, also known as the Comcaac. They make their baskets from strips of the limberbush (jathropha cuneata) and natural dyes created from local plants. This basket measures 8″ across.

The Seri are the native people along the Gulf of California from Puenta Chueca to El Desemboque.
